Tolerance Pro
The module enables the participant to work systematical with complex tolerance chains and empower the participant with tools and strategies for how to simplify designs.
Course objectives
After course completion the participant will be able to:
- Be able to setup and identify complex tolerance chains
- Be able to setup linear tolerance chains and apply rules of thumb for stack-up estimates
- Be able to work with parameter setting/notations
- Be able to assess tolerance chains; worst case scenarios, RSS, and statistical variation
- Be able to troubleshoot on critical tolerance chains and apply methods/strategies how to improve designs
- Be able to work with parameter lists
- Be bale to apply workflows for working with tolerance chains
- Have know-how of software (P-inspect and others)
- Be able to handle geometrical operators and include them in tolerance chains
- Be able to the handling of many chains/mechanical lead overview
- Be able to link tolerance chains to functions/IO-functions/transfer functions/calculation models
- Apply GD&T basics
- Apply datum settings
- Apply geometrical modifiers
- Apply TED measures
